National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT)

Posted on Apr 27 2015 - 10:15am

Northwest Georgia Council is offering NYLT training to our youth leaders. This is an exciting, action-packed program designed for councils to provide youth members with leadership skills and experience they can use in their home troops and in other situations demanding leadership of self and others.

NYLT is a six-day course. Content is delivered in a troop and patrol outdoor setting with an emphasis on immediate application of learning in a fun environment. Interconnecting concepts and work processes are introduced early, built upon, and aided by the use of memory aids, which allows participants to understand and employ the leadership skills much faster.

The Council is offering this program for a discount for scouts who also attend summer camp. If scouts sign up for both summer camp and NYLT the cost is only $400.00.

This is a great program for our scouts! All youth scouters who has attended Introduction to Leadership Skills for Troops (ILST) and has served as a Youth Leader may attend.
